About

bio_cartoonChristopher Dwyer is an author and multidisciplinary artist from Fogo, Newfoundland in Canada.

As a writer and designer, Chris has freelanced for 25 years and has written (short) comedy films, launched the dystopian photo web serial City of Necropolis, and the supposedly-inappropriate series Bedtime Stories for Brats. He wrote some novels, too.

For the University of Toronto he worked as a copywriter, events planner, and admin guy. As a teacher, he taught IGCSE and IB across four continents with two Mongolian cats. He currently freelances/ghost writes/does all the things.

Consistent themes in his storytelling are the comically tragic shortsightedness of mortality, shopping malls, greed, the lies we tell ourselves, and other absurdities. His work spans thriller, mystery, comedy, sci-fi, surrealism, literary fiction and children’s – though these are prone to change, overlap, or interlope.

He is also a photographer, DJ, and occasionally a drummer, and currently resides in Nova Scotia, Canada.
